Noah's 10th Birthday Party at Classic Skating

We started the crazy weekend we had ahead of us at Classic skating to celebrate our big guy turning 10!! We had Noah's birthday party here last year too, although a few minutes into the party, he came down with a massive fever and ended up sleeping in the corner and missed the WHOLE thing.

We were so happy that he was feeling good

and was actually awake for his party this year!!

The smoke machine was going nuts.

We had a private room for the party called the F/X room. It had it's own smoke machine and lasers light, etc... At the end of the party, the kids thought it would be funny to keep pressing the smoke machine and fill the whole room. Then they opened the door, and started filling the entire skating area with smoke too! Dem' kids are crazy I tell ya'!

Overall we had a great time, and were so happy to be celebrating

It is so hard for me to believe that Adison is now 16!

She is the same age Gabe and I were when we meet each other and fell in love.

Nikki and I wanted to decorate Addies room to suprise her when she woke up.

Let me tell you, trying to get her to fall asleep downstairs on a school night was NOT easy!!

She was pretty mad at me and didn't understand why I was making such a fuss about her staying downstairs, she just wanted to sleeeeep!!

That was until she woke, went to her room this morning and saw what Nikki and I were up to until 2:00 in the morning while she slept.

Nothing was safe from the streamers and crepe paper

I think it turned out pretty good, what do you think??

That's right....Sweet 16 already! I wouldn't call her sweet though, more like semi-sweet.
I think that is more fitting.

As of 5:17 a.m. this morning, Noah is 10 years old today. Yah!! He is growing up so fast!! He started the day off early by coming in to my room when it was still dark and said, "Good morning Mom, isn't there something you would like to say to me?" I thought........"Yes, thank you for NOT making me fight to get you ready for school." "Not exactly what I had in mind Mom!" he replied. I then grabbed me a bunch of 10 year old love and hugged the crap out of him.

We got him a birthday cake, and plan on bringing it in to his school today to share with his classmates. As per Noah's request, we will be making 'our own' pizza for dinner, and he wants confetti cake for dessert. We wont be having his party until this Friday, but we will have our own celebration at home until then.

Double digits though, DOUBLE DIGITS!!
